Steve’s coaching style has been shaped by years in competitive environments, including professional MMA, rugby and high-performance sport. His approach blends standards, detail and accountability with a genuine commitment to long-term athlete development.
Steve has supported athletes and coaches across four Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Commonwealth and European Games, and three national governing bodies.
His background includes strength and conditioning, sports rehabilitation and an MSc in Psychology, now integrated into high-performance coaching.
Steve works with youth athletes, adults, teams and clubs to build movement quality, strength, speed, resilience and confidence under pressure.
Steve understands the systems that take athletes from development environments through to international performance.

Worked across three national governing bodies and supported elite performers from more than 10 countries.
Today, Steve works with youth athletes, clubs and schools across Devon and Cornwall in sports including football, rugby, athletics, American football, netball, karate and cricket.
Alongside coaching, Steve writes about performance psychology, behaviour change and long-term athletic development.
